CLASS ATTIRE & STUDIO POLICIES

Fees: Tuition must be paid by automatic credit/debit card payment. Tuition will be debited from your account on the 1st or 15th of each month for the months specified in your contract. If an account carries an outstanding balance for 30 days, a $10 late fee will be added to the account. Scarlett’s Center Stage does not extend payments or pro-rate tuition rates. Unless notified otherwise, all recital fees will automatically be deducted from the credit card on file on the dates specified. There will be no refunds. Prices are subject to change without notice. ALL FEES PAID ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

 

Class Attire: All students are expected to arrive to class with the appropriate attire, shoes and hair pulled back.  Failure to wear required dancewear may result in the student being asked to sit out of class. Dance attire must be clean and tights should not have holes/runs. School uniforms and street clothes are unacceptable. Ballet skirts and tutus are permitted for ages 2-7. It is also recommended that your child bring a dance bag for their dance shoes, as they will change them in the dance room during class time. Please write your child’s name on all of their dance shoes. DANCE SHOES MUST BE PURCHASED AT DANCE PLUS, located at 8433 SW 132 Street. (They offer our students a 10% discount.) 

 

Kinderdance 1, PreK2-PreK3: Light pink leotard, any style. Pink tights. LACE-LESS pink ballet shoes. Black tap shoes.

Kinderdance 2, PreK4: Light blue leotard, any style. Pink tights. LACE-LESS pink ballet shoes. Black tap shoes.

Petite, Kinder-1st Grade: Black leotard

Mini, 2nd-3rd Grade: Black leotard

Junior, 4th-7th Grade: Black leotard

All Hip-Hop Classes: Comfortable gym/dance clothes and sneakers. Tank tops, t-shirts, dance shorts and dance pants, are acceptable options. No school uniforms or jeans.

All Flamenco Classes: Black or red leotard. Black or red flamenco skirt. Tan tights. Black character shoes.

All Bellydance Classes: Leotard or fitted tank top, any color. Biker shorts or leggings, any color. No street clothes. Barefoot.

 

Attendance: Any classes missed by a student, or due to a studio closing, may be made up in another, age appropriate, class within the month of the absence. Tuition will not be pro-rated for missed classes. The studio reserves the right to have students who come late to class sit out the class period. Repeated lateness may result in termination of classes. A minimum attendance standard will be required. Students missing more than four classes after January 1st may not be allowed to participate in the end of year recital.

 

Missed Private Music/Voice Lesson: No make-up classes will be given for missed classes unless absence is due to serious illness and/or 24 hour notice has been given, and confirmed,  to the studio director and/or music teacher. All make-up classes must be scheduled with the child's music teacher. No refunds will be given for missed classes.

 

Withdrawal and Refunds: There is a two-month minimum for all dance classes. One-month notice from the 1st of the month is required to discontinue any classes. Withdrawal must be done in person and will not be accepted after the 15th of the month. Withdrawal must be done with the studio director and not with the class teacher. All automatic debit or credit card charges will stop after the one-month notice period. Tuition and costume fees are non-refundable. Scarlett’s Center Stage reserves the right to terminate classes to any student without notice.

 

Studio Closings: All classes missed for holidays can be made up in another, age  appropriate, class within the month of the absence. In the event of extreme weather conditions, Scarlett’s Center Stage follows the MDC Public School’s closing policy. Tuition will not be pro-rated for any absences. Please check your email for studio closings.

 

Photo Release:  The studio is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, our web site, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials that the studio creates.

 

Parents Responsibility: Our primary means of communication regarding administration and financial matters is via email. Please be sure to add our email to your contacts to ensure our emails do not go to spam. It is the responsibility of the parent to be aware of all studio activities and due dates. The studio will post all such notices as well as send notices via email. It is the parents’ responsibility to inform the studio of any email, telephone and/or credit card number changes.
